{ Gran Paradiso } • My first time in this National Park, the very first one established in Italy, in 1922.

I’m impressed by how much fauna is present here, from chamois, foxes, eagles, bearded vultures and these two beautiful animals, the ibex and the marmot.

Gran Paradiso National Park is 100 years old, and I was invited by @fondazioneUNA and @federparchi to raise awareness of the maintenance of these native animal species, threatened by climate change but also by poaching.

I was impressed when the park guard told me that the number of ibex has halved in 30 years. Today there are only 2,700 ibex left.

Biodiversity is a treasure, for Mother Nature and for us.
