In this episode of Miranda in the Wild, Miranda tries cowboy camping, aka camping without a tent. The pros: Unobstructed starry skies. The cons: Curious insects joining for a nighttime cuddle.

IMPORTANT NOTE on Leave No Trace as practiced in this video -

Leave No Trace principles recommend camping at least 200 feet (60 meters) from water sources. In the instance of this video, we struggled to find a viable campsite far from water without causing new impact on the area. We opted instead to sleep on hard rock where others had recently camped, but it was not ideal to be this close to a water source. Abiding by Leave No Trace principles is always what we strive to do.
