Update, because so many people need to know what happened with Derek. He DID end up dating me. Because I begged him for weeks. There are later journal entries that say things like “Derek said he’d give me an answer next Thursday.” “Derek said that if Jillian dates his friend Rob, he will be my boyfriend” *the desperation 😩* He was my first make out at middle school madness, I distinctly remember Mo money Mo problems playing in the background. We ended up dating for a handful of months and it ended. We both moved on and I later found a much longer-term boyfriend. Everyone lived happily ever after ❤️
