End of year post. Okay. So. Easy to flip past this snap but this was the moment this year. I’m buried under this pile of Kansas City girls. If you’ve seen the video for Spitting you might think this moment was staged or something but it wasn’t, it was the kind of inexplicable embrace that happens when it’s needed the most. Music as the guardian and host. At the end of shooting Spitting Off the Edge of the World @cody_critcheloe had us perform in a basement to young KC natives, we felt lamb-like performing fresh out of two year soul stripping lockdown, and the serenade was to all these beauties in the new generation, I hadn’t been in a crowd of strangers for years, so disconnected, longing for closeness and suddenly I was engulfed as if we all knew it couldn’t be more natural to be together again. Sorry if this sounds lofty’n’shit but, it stuck with me, so thank you for the ecstatic hug, everyone who listened to our new tunes, or saw us or will see us next year, thank you. Thank you.
