"果無い標本シリーズ" 「クリオネとバッカルコーンの気持ち」(Clione and Bacalcones)

Fruitless: Unreliable, prone to disappear. It is fragile and does not last long. Also written as, "a fragile dream," "a hope that - has - vanished," or "ephemeral". The theme of this work is specimens. Using insects, plants, and various other motifs, the work depicts specimens that are repeatedly reproduced and destroyed. In this exhibition, when you look into the center of the frame, a series of bean frames depict ticks and pillbugs, which are only a few millimeters in size. The bean frames are made from the scraps of wood used in the production of frames and are extremely small in size. This work uses the wood scrap as a material with renewed value which reflects CHiNAN's point of view around sustainability. Botanical art: Koichi Hashiguchi

果無い(頼りなく、消えてなくなりやすい。もろくて長続きしない。「―い夢」「希望が―く消えた」「儚い」とも書く。) 標本をテーマに制作。 昆虫や植物、様々なモチーフを使い再生と破壊を繰り返す標本を描く。 本展示の豆額作品シリーズは額の中心部を覗きにこむと、数ミリのダニやダンゴムシなどが標本されているように描かれている。 豆額は額制作の際にでた端材で作られており絵を入れられるサイズとしては極小。サスティナブルな観点からも優れた素材として使用したいという思いもあり生まれた作品。
