The Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions 2023

The Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions is a unique annual event founded in 2009 which combines exhibitions, screenings, live performances, and talk sessions.
The festival aims to re-examine the increasingly diversified manners of creating and appreciating images. It was held at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, Center Square of Yebisu Garden Place, and other affiliated local facilities and galleries.

With a focus on “technology” as a general theme, the Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions 2023 examines a diverse range of activities in the field of imagery and other visual creation, with the aim to explore various possibilities regarding the dialogue between art and technology.

This year, the "Commission Project" was launched, where four Japan-based artists were selected to create and present commissioned video works as products of the new festival.

The ever-evolving world of video and art is one that we look forward to with excitement.
