メルボルンで開催中の展覧会「Goddess: Power, Glamour, Rebellion」に、『さくらん』の衣装が展示されています。
120年以上にわたる映画の歴史の中で、自らの役割を築き、クリエイティブな作品を創造し、搾取しようとするシステムと戦った女性や性別を超えたスーパースターたちに敬意を表するもの。
マーリーン・ディートリッヒ、マリリン・モンロー、ジーナ・デイヴィス、マーゴット・ロビーが着用した象徴的な衣装に並び、アンナが演じたきよ葉の衣装も展示されます。
そんな、スクリーンにおけるジェンダー革命家たちを称える展覧会に、『さくらん』を選んでもらえたことは本当に光栄ですし、私が映画を撮り続けている意味があったんだと、背中を押してもらえた気がします。

Costumes from my movie "SAKURAN" are on display in the exhibition "Goddess: Power, Glamour, Rebellion" in Melbourne.
It pays tribute to the women and cross-gender superstars who have built their own roles, created various works, and fought against a system that sought to exploit them over 120 years of film history.
Along with iconic costumes worn by Marlene Dietrich, Marilyn Monroe, Geena Davis, and Margot Robbie, the exhibit will also include a costume of Kiyoha, played by Anna Tsuchiya.
I am truly honored that "SAKURAN" was chosen for an exhibition that celebrates such gender revolutionaries on the screen, and I feel so motivated to continue making films.
