Cortina is a year round destination but it's especially famed for it's skiing, partly thanks to James Bond because a lot of the ski chase scenes in 'For Your Eyes Only' were filmed here. Cortina's slopes were also put on the map when it hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics, and it's going to host them again (with co-hosts Milan) in 2026.
