Always told who to be and what to say. How to behave and how I could and couldn’t express myself. It took me a while to break free from the those mental shackles even years after I left the toxicity behind. Today, I’m the most me I’ve ever been. Apart from my passion of performing, tattoos were a very fun visual way to express myself. It started with small ones and eventually led up to my back piece that I got last summer….AND HERE WE ARE TODAY WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL SLEEVE. Like my back, I went with an ornamental style. I love a bold feminine look. It truly embraces how I view myself. Since I had the national flowers of Mexico on my back, I wanted to incorporate Finland’s flowers in this design. Lily of the valley flowers symbolize happiness, luck and motherhood. All the beautiful things I have been blessed with in my new home country 🇫🇮 As I embark on new career paths and adventures I wanted to remind myself of my strength and the positive energy that lives inside of me with the marigolds in this piece. All the surrounding elements, like my back, I wanted to keep bold but delicate. I did cover my old Bandit tattoo on the inner elbow because it never really turned out right. (Don’t worry, he’ll get a dedicated tattoo when the time is right) I’m in love with this design. It’s so ME and feels so right. Yes, it hurt but I earned the damn thing! 30 hours 😅 Thank you @universewithintattoo for visualizing and creating this masterpiece. With that being said, the tattoo is still very red, a little smudgy from ink under the second skin and needs about a month of healing…so I’ll update when it’s not so scabby✌🏼」4月22日 0時29分
