Running to recovery 🏃♀️🤍
Rachel Foster, a 35-year-old woman from Oklahoma, is a wonderful example of the power of perseverance.
Last November, she suffered a traumatic brain injury after falling off her electric scooter. Just five months, an invasive operation and a 10-day coma later, she was running the Boston Marathon.
Speaking about her motivation, she said: “I’ve been so excited for this day. It literally helped me walk again. I know that sounds crazy but the thought of doing this, and being here, helped me first walk, then jog, and then run." (Source: Boston25news)
