Herbert List (@herbert_list) was fascinated by the “exoticism and eroticism” of the life-size “artificial people” at the Panoptikum in Vienna. He photographed the wax figures for Teleauf magazine in 1944, and later made an artist's book from his pictures. A three-quarter century on, it is being published for the first time by Spector Books.
