This area is a popular destination during the warmer months of the year to connect with nature. 🌿🚣‍♂️🧗‍♂️ Some of the activities that can be enjoyed in this area include: 🛶Canoeing: Even beginners can try their hand at canoeing or kayaking along the clear waters of the lake guided by locals. 🥾Trekking: There are many trekking routes! Follow the Lake Hibara lakeside trail for a scenic hike. The trail takes about an hour and a half to complete. 🚗 Scenic drives: A great way to stay out of the scorching hot summer months in Japan is enjoying the scenery during a driving trip! ℹ️ Close to this area is the scenic Lakeline road, from which you can enjoy sights of mountains and lakes in this region. Also nearby is the Nishi Azuma Sky Valley scenic road. 🏕️ Camping: This area is perfect for camping under the stars, with several camping grounds (and other accommodation options) available nearby. 🗺️Access: From Inawashiro Station (JR Ban-etsu West Line): 🚗30 min. drive or 🚍50 min. by bus: take the Bandai Toto Bus and get off at Onogawa-ko Iriguchi Bus Stop (小野川湖入口バス停)- this journey takes around 35 min.
