So many of my heroes are screenwriters like Nora, always Nora, who took such pride in this gig and treated it like a true 9-5. It’s a job that requires imagination, diligence and perseverance. I’m proud that we have a strong and supportive union, one that historically goes above and beyond for its members, and when we come together and decide to strike we aren’t just doing it for ourselves but for all future members. I want screenwriting to remain a viable career choice for those called to this path, and for my fellow guild members to be safe, secure and inspired.
