We also build cars with an equal level of workmanship and detail. Here’s some photos of that high level of detail that went into just the steering wheel on Greg Cooke’s ‘49 Merc. Starting with a design plan inspired by early Porsche accessory Petri steering wheels. A billet blank was CNC turned by Mike Curtis with the correct offset to not have to run a big adaptor. WCC Machinist Anthony then cut all the windows and surfacing profiles. Stainless Steel horn ring and button were machined and fit. In-house Artist Matt created hand drawn artwork for the horn button. Master engraver Jere Davidson hand relief engraved the horn button and ring. Wheel was painted cream white color and covered with a hand stitched leather cover by Aaron at Innovative Rides. Lots of steps and processes make for an amazing result. And a fitting tribute to Drew Cooke (Greg’s son) who unfortunately passed away during this build. #jessejames」5月14日 6時11分
