５月１５日（月）、バーガー米海兵隊総司令官が来省し、森下陸幕長と懇談を行いました。懇談においては、#陸上自衛隊 と #米海兵隊 との更なる連携強化の方向性について認識を共有するとともに、総司令官からは、ＵＨ－６０ＪＡ航空事故に対する哀悼の意が伝えられました。
また、#インド太平洋地域 の平和と安定に寄与するため、日米が連携して多国間による防衛協力を推進していくことで一致しました。

On May 15 2023, Gen Berger, Commandant of the Marine Corps made a visit to Camp Ichigaya to meet GEN MORISHITA, COS, JGSDF. During the meeting, both leadership shared the vision towards the more robust partnership between #JGSDF and #USMC and Gen Berger expressed his deep regret to the JGSDF tragic accident of UH-60.
They also agreed that #JPN_US alliance will further promote multinational defense cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region for its peace and stability.
