As the weather gets warmer, people may want to get it on in the pool or ocean 🌊 Here’s what to consider before getting wet and wild this summer:
- Pool sex or sex in public can sound exciting, but there’s a possibility of getting caught and getting in trouble.
- Condoms are more likely to slip off or break when in water. This can increase the chance of STIs or unwanted pregnancy. It’s best to use an additional method to protect you and your partner(s) or do other activities that don’t involve skin contact.
- Pools and beaches aren’t the cleanest places. Getting physical in the water can increase the risk of other infections aside from STIs.
- Water is wet, but it can be drying! Silicone based lube stays on the skin longer than water based lubes.
