In 2019, Tom Dixon's @designresearchstudio partnered with @Ikea to imagine the future of urban farming at the @the_rhs Chelsea Flower Show, the pinnacle of horticultural excellence. Together, they designed an experimental model for growing plants in the urban environment. ⁠

'Gardening Will Save The World' included a raised modular landscape with edible and medicinal plants and an enclosed-based garden fuelled by hydroponic systems and controllable lighting. ⁠

As RHS Chelsea Flower Show opens its doors today (to RHS members only and to the general public from Thursday to Saturday), we are looking forward to discovering this year's show gardens.
