The presentation brings together the work of 𝟮𝟵 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 who, through the representation of the figure, explore how our culture constructs identities🦢, values✨, and desires🫶. Figuration today both subverts and builds on artistic traditions to find new and unconventional ways to represent the human figure. Verisimilitude sometimes lends itself to the fantastical, the surreal, the uncanny. Anthropomorphic forms can merge with abstraction. Realism contends with images that are often idealized or allegorical.
