A lot of you have messaged me asking how Izzy is doing. I'm sure she still misses Zoë (don't we all?) but she seems to have found some peace. She's no longer searching for Zoë and the random meowing has stopped. This took a very long time - over half a year. We can't blame her. The inactivity here has nothing to do with Izzy - she's still her adorable self - but just with the fact that we now have a second tiny human. I was pregnant when Zoë died, and baby number 2 is now 7 months old. Her name is Juliette. She's also freaking adorable. But life with two kids doesn't leave much room for running an instagram account. That's part of the reason. The other part of the reason is that it's still painful for me to log into this account. Izzyandthefluff is now Izzywithoutthefluff. It's not right. (I'll never change the name). I have tons of unposted photos of Zoë but I can't look at them yet. I also never managed to go through the massive amount of DMs we got when Zoë was in the hospital so my inbox is still full with 'I hope she gets better"'s. Slowly I am starting to gain some peace and can sometimes think of her without feeling sad and just remember her fondly. One day I'll be able to go through the photos and log into this account without feeling sad. In the meantime I hope you can bear with me.
