It wound up being a 15h day of adventuring in the mountains. We climbed Tooth and Claw (5.12-) on Lexington (though, we realized when we reached the “top” that it doesn’t summit the real spire, disappointingly). Then we climbed the East face of the Minuteman (“5.10” but totally silly scrambling. The worst route of the day, by far). Then Freedom or Death into the Liberty cracks, on Liberty Bell (5.12- and totally awesome. Best climbing of the day). Then the North Face on Concord (easy solo), then the West Face on North Early Winter Spire (great 5.10, some of the better rock of the day). Then we finished on the Passenger, a pretty mega line up the south side of South Early Winter Spire. It was described as the Astroman of WA and it basically lived up to the hype - great climbing on an impressive wall. (5.11+/12-, hard to know because I was quite tired by the end. And it was getting dark.). All in all it was a great outing with a good friend. And a real pleasure to have a huge climbing day where my partner came up with the objective, planned the route, sorted out all the gear, and made it all happen.
