@freediverguidecoron —Barracuda Lake, located on Coron Island in the Philippines, offers a unique diving experience. It has crystal blue waters surrounded by impressive rock formations. Despite its name, there aren’t many barracudas or other wildlife in the lake. However, what makes it special is the drastic temperature change as you descend. Starting at around 82 degrees Fahrenheit on the surface, the temperature rises to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at a depth of 45 to 50 feet. It’s so hot that you don’t need to wear a wetsuit while diving there.
