In celebration of the landmark retrospective, ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’, currently on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York, the exhibition features the Karl Lagerfeld-inspired Chloé gowns Gabriela Hearst created for this year's Met Gala. Chloé founder Gaby Aghion hired a young Karl Lagerfeld in 1963, he would later take over the creative helm of the Maison and cultivated Chloé’s singular vision of femininity for a total of 25 years.
