Twitter has lost a ton of fans since the Elon Musk takeover, but the platform still has some champions. For example: the Taliban.
"Other platforms cannot replace it," tweeted Anas Haqqani, a senior Taliban thought leader, explaining that Meta is "intolerant."
“Twitter has two important advantages over other social media platforms,” he said. “The first privilege is the freedom of speech. The second privilege is the public nature & credibility of Twitter. Twitter doesn't have an intolerant policy like Meta. Other platforms cannot replace it.”
Threads has garnered over 100 million users in the week since it launched, and a lot of non-Taliban members seem to like it. That said, critics have accused the platform of feeling like a desolate landscape where brands and influencers talk to each other while everyone else watches. So, you know, will leave you to make your own minds up on this one.
