If disturbed, the Miller’s saki monkey puffs up its coarse fur like a hood, making it appear much larger than it actually is. Scientists know little about this species; although it vocalizes in grunts, chirps, and whistles, it can be silent when sneaking away from researchers. Photo taken at Cafam Zoo in Colombia.
The National Geographic Society (@insidenatgeo) is proud to support Explorer Joel Sartore in his quest to photograph the world's species for the National Geographic Photo Ark.
