陸上自衛隊のインスタグラム(jgsdf_pr) - 7月21日 12時00分

陸上自衛隊、米陸軍及び豪陸軍は、７月１８日（火）、令和５年度日米豪共同指揮所演習（ＹＳ－８４・８５）の本格的な調整開始となるキックオフミーティングを実施しました。今後、対面調整の場であるＹＳ－８４、そして年末に予定のＹＳ－８５に向けて、年間を通じ準備を進めてまいります。
在日米陸軍のシンボルである「山」と陸上自衛隊のシンボルである「桜」の頭文字をとり「ヤマサクラ」「ＹＳ」と呼称しています。（写真は、昨年度のＹＳのロゴマークです。）

JGSDF, US Army, and Australian Army conducted a Kick-Off meeting of the YS-84/85 on 18 July, which marked the beginning of full-scale coordination. We will proceed with the preparation for YS-84 as in person conference and YS-85 which will be held in December.
YS is an abbreviation of Yama Sakura, the meaning is taken from both symbol of US Army Japan “Mountain as Yama” and JGSDF “Cherry blossom as Sakura” (Lower right is the logo of the YS, last year)
