Once six times the size of the UK, the Atlantic Forest has been reduced to disparate fragments as the result of agricultural expansion. Over a mere 20 years, the Atlantic Forest has lost over 80% of its original forest cover with dire consequences for the region’s rich biodiversity. There is a pressing need to reconnect these forest fragments, thereby creating more space for wildlife such as the endangered native black lion tamarin to thrive. Your donation will help provide trees to the Atlantic Forest in partnership with WeForest, an international non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable reforestation.
