Maison Margiela announces its new Tokyo boutique with an off-site installation showcasing the recent Artisanal Collection. Heralding the opening of the Omotesando store on 10 August 2023, the expansive exhibition will welcome the public from 29th July through 15th August 2023 at Parkway Square 2 in Shibuya. The presentation is based on the format created within the Maison’s headquarters at 12 Place des États-Unis as part of the 2023 Co-Ed show in January. Through multi-disciplinary displays, the installation illustrates the story and visual themes of Cinema Inferno, the assemblage performance piece that framed the 2022 Artisanal Collection in Palais de Chaillot in July 2022. It stages a continuation of the narrative, which was conceived by Creative Director John Galliano alongside the collection and the installation.
