Over time, I have found that inner peace is not something outside ourselves, an unreachable goal that we keep chasing. Instead, it is a state of being, it is the true core of our inner being. It is our natural state when we slough off the anxiety, the worries, the fear, the what ifs, when we break down the barriers and blockages we have unconsciously built as a result of being confronted with life’s challenges. We do it out of self-defense, out of habit, and many other reasons. But in spite of this, it is important to remember our true core lies in a state of peacefulness.
