It’s my second time exploring this beautiful region in Switzerland. This time I brought along some of my pals for their first ever hiking trip! The weather wasn’t the kindest to us but we had a glorious adventure nonetheless 🫶🏼 📍Where to stay: It’s not a very touristy region so there are minimal hotels & a handful of quaint Airbnbs available. 🌎 How to get there: the nearest airport is Zurich which is a one hour away by road. 🚗 How to get around: A rental car is the easiest way, but Switzerland has good public transport links. 🥾 What to do: hiking! There’s three gorgeous lakes and an abundance of trails to explore, as well as mountain huts to refuel at. Here are a few of my favourite routes: ➡️ Hoher Kasten to Saxer Lücke, Fahlensee & Samtiseree. My favourite route with ALL the natural beauty! ➡️ Ebenalp to Aescher, Schäfler, Mesmer and Seealpsee. Unbelievable ridge views! ➡️ Santis & the Lisengrat ridge to Rotsteinpass. One for the thrill seekers!
