RIP, Jamie Reid, a punk who remained a punk until the end. We are so sad to hear this news, but grateful for hearing Jamie speak a few months ago at @nuartaberdeen

One of his last great projects was the land art work, Ova, where Reid created an 11-acre garden, "sown with wildflowers, including chamomile, corn marigolds and field marigolds, making it a haven for bees and other pollinators," all created in the shape of combining A for anarchy and V for victory symbols. He continued to be an original to the end.

Of course, his collage style work defined the aesthetic of the Sex Pistols, and defined the era of the late 1970s, post-Situationist political art scene. His friend @johnmarchantgallery said it best: “artist, iconoclast, anarchist, punk, hippie, rebel and romantic. Jamie leaves behind a beloved daughter Rowan, a granddaughter Rose, and an enormous legacy.” —@epricco
