Sex Pistolsのビジュアルデザインを手掛けたグラフィックデザイナー “ Jamie Reid  ” ( ジェイミー・リード ) 死去のニュースが・・・
PUNKという現象／概念は、音楽だけでなく、ファッションやビジュアルコミュニケーションにおいても、生きる姿勢やメッセージ表現に無限の可能性を与えてくれた。とりわけジェイミー・リードの残したアウトプットは特別。上位概念からデザインをぶっ壊し、そして新しい概念を構築した。
今見ても全く古くならない彼のワークがそれを物語っている。
デザインする勇気を、デザインしない勇気をありがとう。ご冥福をお祈り致します。

The phenomenon/concept of PUNK has given us unlimited possibilities to express our attitude and message not only in music, but also in fashion and visual communication. In particular, the output left by Jamie Reed is special. He broke down design from a higher level concept, and then constructed a new concept.
His work, which never gets old even when viewed today, speaks for itself.
