A.P.C. PACKAGING / PROGRESS UPDATE

As part of our continuous effort to reduce our environmental impact, in 2021 we committed to a packaging solution that is reusable, recycled and recyclable.

The packaging is made out of rPET (aka «recycled and recyclable polyester») which is created by recycling plastic bottles into yarn and then fabric. This process can be classified as a “lower waste” approach, as it leads to reduced greenhouse gas emissions in comparison to traditional single-use alternatives.

Available in four different sizes, the pouches and bags are sold in our stores and website for a fixed price (3€/3£/3$, etc.). For each bag sold, 1€ is donated to GoodPlanet. Founded in 2005 by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, @fondationgoodplanet aims to make ecology and humanism a central issue in order to encourage people to take concrete action for the Earth and its inhabitants.

In 2022, €47,296 were donated to GoodPlanet. Those funds were used to support the development of solar energy in bioclimatic schools in Ladakh. From the beginning of 2023 and up until June 2023 41,984 bags have been sold globally.
