The spring 2024 Paris ready-to-wear schedule is out and you’ll notice a new, but familiar, name on it: @casablancabrand. Charaf Tajer is bringing his lively coed collection from the men’s calendar to the women’s. “For me, it’s a bit like graduation, to be honest. It’s a new step in my career,” the designer told Vogue Runway. With the new CEO Frederick Lukoff in place, it’s also part of a push for growth, which includes plans for a flagship boutique. Asked for a hint regarding the theme, Charaf said: “It’s our first collection about Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly about Lagos, Nigeria, which is a place that is very important for me culturally.
