Rachel Carson is the author of #SilentSpring an environmental science book Published on September 27, 1962, the book documented the environmental harm caused by the indiscriminate use of pesticides. Carson accused the chemical industry of spreading disinformation, and public officials of accepting the industry's marketing claims unquestioningly.the books publication help lead to the end of the use of DDT. It has been named one of the most important science books ever written, on the same list as Evolution of Species, Gorillas in the Mist by Dian Fossey, Relativity: the special & the General by Albert Einstein.
