However, skating always had a “purpose”. During my professional athlete career it used to always be about winning, competing for the medals, often forgetting the passion I once had for the sport. As I became a coach , my students actually made me realize the beauty of this sport again. I guess as one matures you discover that not everything in life has to have a meaning, a clarified reason, or defined purpose. It’s important to follow your heart, wherever that may take you.
