We were fighting the wind sideways during the 2nd half of the day. We had brunch in Albuquerque at the Owl Cafe where a scene in Breaking Bad was filmed! You know your girl was in the movie ayeeee so I’ve spent some time there before! Then just when I thought I couldn’t fight the wind anymore we were re-energized at a sketchy gas stop when we met some cool dudes with a 1958 yellow corvette who swapped travel stories & then donated to Chopper’s Charity Ride. We ended the day at the coolest stop yet, the Blue Swallow Motel, which originated in 1939 and still has original neon signs and furniture and kept its motor court design which means every room has a garage attached! We chatted with the owners and other travelers as we all sat outside enjoying the sunset. What a fantastic way to end the day!
