After the financial success of the remake of Pet Sematary in 2019, some sort of continuation was inevitable. Even if Stephen King’s original novel had no continuation to speak of. That certainly didn’t stop the makers of the original 1989 film from making Pet Sematary II back in the day. ⁠

But this time, for Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, instead of a sequel, they’re going the prequel route. We have our first trailer for the film, which premieres at this year’s Fantastic Fest, before dropping on Paramount+ in October. ⁠
