L'Shana Tovah! #RoshHashanah, the Jewish New Year, started last night.

The shofar is one of the earliest known musical instruments, which sounds during the Jewish High Holy Days.

This shofar belonged to Leopold Sulzberger, who was born in Germany and came to the U.S. in 1838. It's now in our @国立アメリカ歴史博物館’s collection, where Sulzberger's grandson Cyrus Adler was a curator.
