陳凱歌（チェン・カイコー ) 監督の手による、1993年の中国映画 ( 第46回カンヌ国際映画祭 パルム・ドール受賞 ) “ さらば、わが愛／覇王別姫 ” の4K版を観て来ました。( 恥ずかしながらこの作品は今回が初めて )
日中戦争や文化大革命など近代中国50年を、時代に翻弄される京劇役者の目を通して描いた超大作。映画でしか、また1993年当時でしか出来得なかった作品だと思います。
この作品は公開から３０年が経った現在( 未来までも ) を予言した、強いメッセージを放っていると個人的には確信しています。( 現在の世の中／現在の中国政治 )
そして “ さらば、わが愛 ” のタイトルの通り、京劇役者の小楼や蝶衣達の葛藤や、激しくも美しい愛憎が繰り広げられる物語は本当に素晴らしい。
皆様 4K版をスクリーンで観ないと後悔しますよ！！！あっと！いう間の172分、超オススメです。

I have just watched the 4K version of the 1993 film "Farewell My Concubine" by director Chen Kaige, winner of the Palme d'Or at the 46th Cannes International Film Festival. ( I am ashamed to say that this is the first time I have seen this film.)
This blockbuster depicts 50 years of modern China, including the Japanese-Russo War and the Cultural Revolution, through the eyes of a Peking Opera actor at the mercy of the times. It is a film that could only have been made in 1993.
I am personally convinced that this film has a strong message that predicts the present (and even the future) 30 years after its release. ( The world today / Chinese politics today )
And as the title suggests, the story of the struggles of the Peking Opera actors and their intense but beautiful love-hate relationship is truly wonderful.
Everyone, if you don't see the 4K version on the screen, you will regret it! It is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it 172 minutes long! I highly recommend it.
