The answers were pretty split, half still preferring a blog, while the other half enjoying the substack platform. For those not familiar with what a substack is, it's like if a newsletter and blog had a baby. I got a lot of questions on whether I plan to charge and the answer is, no. While I personally pay for a few substacks and find them to be worth the value I get in return, that's not my plan. I completely support and understand why some do, but I do not plan to charge. "So why the need for both?" A good question. For starters, I've never had a newsletter and always wanted to start something that feels a little, I don't know, different? More personal? I realize that while not everyone enjoys getting something pushed to an inundated inbox, it also seems that quite a few appreciate an email of value amongst all of the junk. I subscribe to a select few and genuinely get excited when I see something new published. BUT if you don't like your email being bombarded, the app itself is pretty great. You can "stack" your favorites (all in one place) and enjoy them as you choose. Kind of like having a stack of magazines, but in 2023. A little sad, but the reality. I still plan to post on the blog regularly. There you will still find all types of reviews and guides (beauty, shoes, NYC), outfits and lots of fashion type stuff. The substack will be more for long format type posts. It will be for mental rambles and what's currently running through my brain, fashion related and sometimes, not. But, if both are too much to keep up with, I totally get that. Once a month, I'll have a substack recap on the blog and if something seems of interest, you can click it right from there. I welcome any thoughts or feedback!」9月19日 5時17分 - brooklynblonde1
