It was a productive first day for President Biden at the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, where he continued his work to strengthen America’s leadership on the world stage.

President Biden kicked off the day by delivering remarks before the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, where he outlined how the U.S. is working with others to solve the world’s most pressing problems.

President Biden then greeted UN General Assembly President Dennis Francis of Trinidad and Tobago.

Next, President Biden participated in a greet and guest book signing with UN Secretary General António Guterres. The two leaders then discussed pressing global challenges and reaffirmed the strong partnership between the U.S. and the UN.

President Biden also met with the presidents of five Central Asian nations: Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. This was the first-ever C5 +1 presidential summit, and the leaders discussed a range of issues.

Tomorrow, President Biden will meet with additional world leaders to continue to advance his vision of American leadership.
