I felt like it was all my fault, I did something wrong. I was wrong. I felt so ashamed, I didn't want anyone to know. It took me years to finally talk about it. I remember mentioning it to a close friend, who responded.... "I have had 9 miscarriages".....that shocked me to my core, but changed my perspective immediately. Hearing the many unique stories of loss and how it has changed the lives of mothers everywhere has been incredibly humbling, and also empowering.
