Would you believe the inspiration for the set of Fashion Radio began with not just David Bowie’s groundbreaking ‘Station To Station’ but, more specifically, its album cover?

The sound of the artist’s 10th studio album may not be directly influenced by any alien activities. However, its cover art tells a different story as its image is a direct still from Nicolas Roeg’s film ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth,’ where Bowie, the protagonist, plays an alien called Jerome Newton.

Bowie was a well-known lover of sci-fi (after all, his first hit single was called Space Oddity). Couple this with the star’s shape-shifting aesthetic and his character Newton’s subterranean space; the design of the Fashion Radio booth starts to look uncannily familiar. Throw in SHOWstudio’s fashion stamp of approval, and you’re good to go.
