While hanging out with my 6 year-old, i sometimes find myself remembering fragments of my own younger perspectives… (though admittedly unsure as to how these memories may have been subconsciously tailored to account for my interceding life.)

But as i watch her struggle with way-too-big-emotions or burst with unmitigated joy…. i think MAYBE, this part of being human never really changes?

Maybe it’s just our containers (or CPU’s) for this stuff that mutate and evolve over time. Bigger, of course… as we grow we get an objectively longer view. And we can also become more efficient with practice and less fearful by trial.

Or, conversely, we can be thinned by the sandpaper mobius strip of our entrenched beliefs. Or make ourselves fat and impenetrable from real traumas in order to prevent overt scarring.

In this hypothetical, the internal primary-bigness never lessens, it just gets reframed. And that framing becomes our experience in life.

FWIW, in this hypothetical, i also believe that the frame itself is capable of regeneration.
