At the @prideofbritain Awards 2023, @princestrust Ambassador Felicity Kendal read out a special message from The King to Tskenya, the winner of The Prince’s Trust Young Achiever award.

“Her achievements, which were accomplished despite the immense personal challenges she has faced, would not have been realised had she not shown enormous resilience, tenacity and deep care for others.

I am especially proud to hear how the work of The Prince’s Trust helped Tskenya to transform her life, and am full of admiration for her role in supporting others in the community.

The stories of each and every award winner this year are inspirational and I can only send you all my warmest admiration.

You are indeed the Pride of Britain.”

Tskenya won this year’s award after overcoming a series of challenges, including bullying and an ADHD diagnosis, to benefit her community through the provision of social activities for young people and the elderly - all while running a successful shoe brand with support from The Prince’s Trust.
