Blue, Pit Bull mix, Philadelphia, PA • “We adopted him in January 2020 – his previous owner had been incarcerated, and his landlord found him and took him to the PSPCA, who saved his life. He’s young, we thought he was healthy, but unfortunately this week we found that he has an inoperable tumor on his spine. This is his last weekend. He loves nature, so we’re going to take him to some nature. He has a toy called Piggy, and whenever I come home, he goes and grabs Piggy. He’s very affectionate, and he really loves people, even though he hasn’t been treated well by them in the past. We made him gefilte fish, and we’ll probably give him a steak. He loves pizza and he loved a tuna sub – his appetite is like a college kid. We’ve been lucky – it’s been mutual. He found the right family, we found the right dog. They leave us too soon, but we wouldn’t trade it for all the world. He’s the best dog in the world.”
