Well I finally found one of the holy grail matches nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find nowadays with Davey Boy Smith and Johnny Smith vs. Ranger Ross and Mark Scarpa from June 8, 1990. Thanks to a friendly connection but has not been posted yet.
I really enjoyed this match! It was the same show/event nearly unmasked Misawa finally beating Jumbo Tsuruta and having the torch passed down to him, with Tenryu (next biggest star) leaving All Japan to form SWS and then WAR. Davey wrestled same shows as the unmasking in singles match with Dustin Rhodes.
Dynamite was not on this tour as he was recovering from a shoulder operation. I had the pleasure of meeting Ranger Ross who was super cool, and we discussed this match and how it was really fun unique match, and the last final day after a hard tour of All Japan etc. Mark was Chief Jay Strongbow’s son, and came to work Stampede prior to this, but he actually surprised me with some unique bumps, tiger fake out, and break dancing moves lol. He was actually ahead of his time in a way. I wonder what ever happened to him? 🤷‍♂️
