ELLE DECORさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ELLE DECORInstagram)「When Ciarán McGuigan, creative director of Northern Irish furniture brand @orior_furniture, set about renovating his Brooklyn loft, he called upon a few friends for help, including his college friend and Orior’s head of design, Jean Morana, and a bunch of other pals. McGuigan recalls needing a “teleporter” (Irish-English for “forklift”) to transport some of the bulkier pieces from the street. “We were lifting the marble for the kitchen counter, and one of the young lads just goes, ‘Jesus, this weighs more than my granny’s funeral casket,’” he recalls. “We all just burst out laughing.” Those anecdotes, as well as the many memories embedded in the first-batch Orior pieces throughout the home, are key for McGuigan. “I come in here and I see a lot of great conversations...and a lot of great stories.” To tour this effortless city pad, click the link in bio, as seen exclusively on elledecor.com.
