Travel + Leisureさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Travel + LeisureInstagram)「This week on Behind the Views: Caitlynn Weeden (@weeden_wanders). Caitlynn has been taking photos since she was gifted her first point-and-shoot camera in elementary school However, she didn’t start considering herself a “real"photographer until this past summer, when she worked with camera brand OM Systems to tell a story about women in the outdoors. “A lot of people experience imposter syndrome as an artist, and I can attest to that being real. This showed me that I deserve to take up space in this field. I can put myself out there, and it’s not as scary or hard as I thought it would be,” she recently shared with T+L. . Looking back on the images of her first photography trip four years ago, Caitlynn was shocked to see how far she’d come. “To be honest, those photos weren’t good at all. I think I can see some glimmers of the shooting style I have now, but I was still learning how to compose landscape images, and my editing skills were not as developed yet,” she says. “Looking back at my work makes me so excited for the future because I know that I’ll continue to grow and work on my craft.” . When asked about her advice for aspiring photographers, she says, “Get out there and practice. You don’t need to have a fancy camera or location to get some amazing shots. Some of my favorite landscapes on my feed were taken with my iPhone. Plus, a lot of the time, we feel like we need to be in a super exotic location to get cool photos, and obviously, that helps, but you can still get super compelling shots walking around the block near your house.” . In Caitlynn’s go-to gear bag, you’ll find a film camera; Canon EOS R and OM-5 cameras; 25-105 f4-7.1 and 12-200 f3.5-6.3 lenses; a microfiber cloth; extra SD cards; a tripod; and a power bank with a charging cord. .
