I present: the antioxidant powerhouse! 💪🏼👩🏼‍🍳🫐

Soaked Oats with multiple layers - blueberry-banana, a low sugar cacao cream & a base of blueberries. It is fuuuull of healthy antioxidants that literally keep us young and fit, to make not only our taste buds happy… but all the cells in our body too 🫣👀

💡Why are antioxidants important? They protect against free radicals from bad environmental influences, like toxins and heavy metals - that we are all exposed to. The body’s own cells also produce these as waste products, if you for example eat too much sugar at once. The problem: Free radicals attack our body’s cells, can disrupt their function and damage them, making us age faster and more prone to disease 🤒

🍫 Raw cocoa contains an extraordinary amount of antioxidants, over 40x as much as 🫐 and therefore has a 40x better ability to absorb free radicals 😮‍💨🕺🏼It’s also super high in fiber, which keeps us full, helps stabilizing blood sugar and makes us happy thanks to the amino acid tryptophan, which is converted into serotonin (happy hormone) - just like chocolate is always said to do. But here without sugar, in its purest form with its maximum health benefits 👀💪🏼

Preparation:

1️⃣ Cocoa cream: stir 15g cocoa powder with 30-40ml water. Sweeten to taste, I actually like it as bitter as it is haha. Place in the fridge.
2️⃣ Mash 1/2 banana, mix with 40g oats, 150ml plant milk, 15g nut butter, a pinch of salt and half the blueberries. Optionally add some chocolate chips.
3️⃣ Let all the components sit separately in the fridge for at least 3h or overnight: Cocoa cream, porridge and the remaining berries.
4️⃣ Once everything has soaked, it’s time for layering! 1. Blueberries go first, set a few aside for the topping 2. top with a generous layer of cocoa cream, also keep a dollop for topping 3. The porridge goes in after 4. Top with the saved ingredients & optionally some yogurt

480 kcal - 15g protein - 55g carbs - 17g sugar - 19g fiber - 19g fat - 13g unsaturated
